Anti-virus is a software consists of computer programs that attempt to identify, thwart and eliminate computer viruses and other malicious software. This software detects and removes viruses from messages. All internal mail clients and all customers are protected from receiving viruses by removing virus at email server.

The computer viruses are written by the people who try to gain the control of your system resources and are continually updated to try and break through any barriers that you may have installed. GMS Anti-Virus overcomes this issue just by providing a “signature file” update service that ensures all new variants are caught as soon as possible.

Antivirus is a utility that searches a hard disk for viruses and removes any that are found. Most antivirus programs include an auto-update feature that enables the program to download the profiles of new viruses so that it can check for the new viruses as soon as they are discovered.

The antivirus software typically uses two different techniques to accomplish –
• Scanning files to look for known viruses matching definitions in a virus dictionary
• Identifying suspicious behavior from any computer program that might indicate virus, such analysis may include data captures, port monitoring and other methods.

Most of the commercial antivirus software uses both of these approaches with an emphasis on the virus dictionary approach. The term antivirus also has been used to benign computer viruses which spread and combat malicious viruses. There are two approaches:
• Virus Dictionary – When the antivirus software looks at a file, this refers to a dictionary of the known viruses that the antivirus software’s authors have identified. If the piece of code in the file matches, then it repairs the file.
• Suspicious Behavior – It doesn’t attempt to identify known viruses, rather observes the behavior of all programs. In one program tries to write data to an executable program.
